I was brought into IHG under a short term contract to manage the communicationsduring a time of great change for the organisation. This involved writing, editing andpublishing content through multiple digital platforms . My expertise in web designalso saw me support the completion of their internal website redesign. During the sixmonths I was able to effectively deliver a wide spread change narrative to supportemployees implement changes into their daily work life.

Alongside the HR Director and leadership team, I created, delivered and managedthe communication and engagement plan within the department as well as out toother business entities. I managed the organisation of all departmental events, companyroadshows and corporate responsibility events. I project lead the redesign of theinternal employee website and improved the site for over 8000 employees which led tome recieving national recognition and an award.

My role was to work with subject matter experts and create content for the companyemployee services application. This involved spending time with a wide range ofkey stakeholders and capturing their key message and turning it into contentthat was engaging and simple to understand. I was able to create an improveduser experience and this led to department recognition.

I worked part-time during my university degree with a summer christian festival group called Clan Gathering, who hold an event for a week every year where speakers from all over the world come and talk on many different subject matters.As part of the placement I was involved in assisting with the design of the programme for the festival as well as helping to contact the relevant people for the relevant information to fill out the adverts. I participated in generating ideas to spread the word through online resources already in place as well as by helping with the day-to-day planning of the event, such as responding to emails and participating in creative meetings with the rest of the events team.
