JMI inspires criminal justice practitioners and policymakers through our education and training programs. Finally, JMI helps bring change to the administration of justice by providing on-site specialized services to help local justice systems and individual stakeholders within the systems to design and implement different approaches to improve their overall effectiveness.As Project Associate, Aimee helps manage business process and information technology analyses; assists with program evaluations; conducts research on criminal justice and civil caseflow management; assists with resource allocation analyses; authors and edits various publications relevant to the field of justice administration; and manages the National Network of Criminal Justice Coordinating Councils, a national information-sharing collaborative sponsored by the Bureau of Justice Assistance. The Spangenberg Group has conducted research and provided technical assistance to justice organizations in every state in the nation on the right to counsel and indigent defense delivery systems and program evaluation.As a Research Associate at The Spangenberg Group, Aimee was responsible for writing and editing reports for state/local government and national justice organizations; data collection, management, and analysis; organizing and conducting site visits; and general project organization. Among her major projects were the research, technical assistance, and authorship related to the King County, Washington Public Defender Case-Weighting Study (2010) and the State, County and Local Expenditures for Indigent Defense Services for the American Bar Association (2008).
