I held my grandmother's hand when she passed away three days before our wedding...This moment in early adulthood had a lasting impact on me. Eventually, it led me to take my knowledge of real estate development and management, and my passion for community development and social advocacy, to aging care. I knew there was a "better way" and wanted to be part of it. I learned about the challenges faced in the sector from all perspectives - policymakers, providers, caregivers, families, and older adults. I visited homes around the world and expanded my knowledge of best practices. My resolve deepened. Now, I focus on transforming the care economy by applying values-based decision-making within the private, public, and non-profit sectors. My team and I focus on what is important to citizens to inform policy, programming, and development. We need to change our language, our principles, and our accountabilities if we are to drive outcomes that improve quality of life. I apply my same belief system to dyslexia awareness and literacy in a volunteer capacity. Kids deserve the right to read. Our success in education directly impacts our future economic development. Send me a DM to connect. I look forward to discovering how we can collaborate.
