I am a confident educator and experienced project manager who is passionate about promoting equality, diversity and inclusion within my work. I am an active member of the Suffolk DEI network and the University of Suffolk Anti-Racism Collective and I am always looking for new opportunities to further my learning around this. I strive to provide equal opportunities, especially for students that come from underrepresented backgrounds that may face additional barriers during their education. In my current role, I have created a brand new transition programme called 'Ignite Your Spark' to enhance the overall student experience or those transitioning into their higher education studies.I have worked with young people and adults within a variety of settings, and pride myself in my ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the people I support. I have supported a host of high schools and further education colleges in Suffolk supporting their students (year 9-13 or FE equivalent) with information, advice and guidance on post 16 and post 18 options.I have experience offering 1:1 mentoring, coaching, creating and delivering workshops, assemblies and programmes of activity. I have experience of coordinating large scale events and on campus visits and conferences for prospective students and members of our community.I am Vice Chair and Community Governor for a local high school.
