In my role as Group Leader/House Coordinator I run a staff team of 20 and 3 volunteers. I ensure the effective running of the house including but not limited to ensuring health and safety standards are maintained within the house, liaising with professionals such as social workers, doctors, psychiatrists, learning disability nurses etc., performance management of staff, recording and managing the houses finances, writing care plans and risk assessments, attending multidisciplinary meetings, advocating for residents and leading by example in providing person centred care for residents.

Camphill is an intentional inclusive community where those with learning disabilities and other support needs would live, learn and work alongside those without.In my role, I am passionate about supporting my residents with all aspects of their life, including their mental, physical and spiritual well-being. Camphill has given me the opportunity to meet people from many different cultural backgrounds and developed my understanding of how we all benefit from looking after others.
