Phd Candidate
"Antibody-based approaches to modulate immune system". PhD thesis belonging to Tumor Treg Targeting ITN (Innovative Training Network) in which different partners are involved: University of Utrecht, Aduro Biotech, University of Edinburgh and University of Navarra. The aim of this PhD was to target T regulatory cells with bispecific antibodies. Along the journey, novel different antibodies have been produced and different Fc isotypes have been assessed. Furthermore, different antigens have been studied in different conditions, either in vitro or in vivo.
Early Stage Researcher
Generation, production and characterization of novel anti-TNFR2 antibodies aiming to target Tregs. In vitro and in vivo assays were performed to test the antibodies in different conditions such as tumor mice model and colitis mice model. CDC and ADCC assays were designed and carried out to test the Fc activity. FACS was used to study different immune cell populations (NK cells, CD8+ T cells, Tregs,...), and cell-sorting was used to isolate Tregs and naive CD4+ T cells.
Early Stage Researcher
Generation, production and characterization of novel antibodies targeting TNFR2. Generation and production of bispecific antibodies. To this end, she designed and developed in vitro assays working to assess antibodies produced after cell cultures. Antibody binding was mainly tested by FACS, protein ELISA and cell ELISA. Primer design, cloning and midiPreps were performed to achieve desired constructs.
Investigador Junior
Development of an in vitro co-culture of skin model to study the microbiota interaction with epithelial cells. Selection of microorganisms' strains, design and validation of primers, co-culture conditions selections, cellular integrity guarantee and model validation.
Intern Trainee
Development of an in vitro co-culture of skin model to study the microbiota interaction with epithelial cells. Selection of microorganisms' strains, design and validation of primers, co-culture conditions selections, cellular integrity guarantee and model validation.
Trainee Erasmus+
Undergraduated student who is doing her thesis bachelor in Galina Selivanova Group in MTC (Microbiology, Tumor and Cell biology) in Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm). She studied how a tumor suppressor gene as p53 might interact with some specific drugs and how is promoted, reactivated or repressed through different techniques as CRISPR/Cas9 technology, qPCR, WB, CETSA, etc.
Practicum Student
In the experimental neuromuscular pathology group, study of ALS and SMA through animal experimentation with mice, genotyping (SOD1), and preparing samples for electron microscopy and to achieve this, highlighting the cryostat and the thermal cycler for PCR.
Practicum Student
Internship in the pathology laboratory, learning immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence (from C4d) and the One Step Nuclear Acid Amplification (OSNA) molecular technique. Also the use of equipment such as PT Link Dako and Autostainer Link 48 from Dako.
Practicum Student
Study in colon cancer: Generation of tetraploid RKO models from a diploid population by treatment with DCB (with the determination of the adequate concentration of DCB for growth without causing apoptosis). The observation of these with FISH techniques and fluorescence microscope.
