About Áine French
I am a second-year Ph.D. candidate and IRC Employment-Based Programme Scholar at University College Dublin working as a Doctoral Research Scholar in the Psychology Department and the Addiction Team of Saint John of God Hospital. My research interests focus on health psychology particularly sleep, mental health, and suicidal behaviour. I also have interests in emotional regulation, addiction, technology in mental health, youth mental health, resilience, and physical activity. I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from accomplished researchers, colleagues, experts, and clinicians. I have experience with qualitative research, quantitative research, public and patient involvement in research, research dissemination research impact, research integrity, and data analysis skills and data analytic software (including SPSS, NVivo, eDelphi, Covidence, etc.). I have also demonstrated transferable skills such as project management, communication, teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving skills throughout my work. I am on LinkedIn to keep up with contemporary research and to widen and maintain my research and professional network.
