Pro Artibus Foundation is an expert organisation for contemporary art. The Foundation manages an art collection of nearly 1400 artworks and runs two exhibition spaces. As a conservator it is my responsibility to ensure the long-term maintenance of the art collection through active and preventive conservation including preparing artworks for long-term loans. I also participate in planning and installing temporary art exhibitions.

Oulu Area, Finland

Oulu Art Museum is the northern museum of contemporary art. In addition to my regular duties as an art conservator, my responsibilities included providing regional art museum services like preparing travelling exhibitions and assisting municipalities, institutions, and museums with their conservation needs.

Valamo Conservation Institute specializes in icon conservation but offers conservation services for museums and private owners as well. My work consisted of conservation and restoration of painted art works both on wooden and canvas support, condition assessments, consulting and customer relations.

Oulu, Finland

The collections of the Oulu Art Museum hold more than 4000 artworks. As a conservator my work aims to ensure the long-term maintenance of the art collection through active and preventive conservation. My daily tasks consisted of preparing individual artworks for exhibitions, loan and deposition, framing, and monitoring environmental conditions.

Harjavalta, Finland

Emil Cedercreutz Museum houses an art collection focused on sculptures and silhouette cuttings as well as a collection of rural folk objects and a historic house museum. My main responsibilities as a conservator were maintenance, condition assessments, storage and conservation of the collections. Participating in planning and installation of temporary art exhibitions formed another important part of my job.

Kotka Area, Finland

Museum of Kymenlaakso manages a municipal art collection consisting mainly of 20th century paintings and prints. My responsibility was to organize the relocation of the artworks to the museum’s collection center. The moving process included condition assessment and photographic documentation of the collection as well as participating in planning and improving the storage facilities and materials.

Laboratório José de Figueiredo is a part ofthe Portuguese Museum and Conservation Institute which manages museum collections nation-wide. During the internship I took part in several conservation projects including conservation and restoration of medieval and Baroque polychrome sculptures and 19th century gilded picture frames.

Helsinki Area, Finland

Part-time job in an art gallery where my responsibilities consisted of customer service and the care of the exhibitions. Occasionally I assisted in gallery openings as well as in setting up and taking down exhibitions.

Fiskars Village, Finland

Summer job. The Cooperative of Artisans, Designers and Artists in Fiskars has arranged annual art and design exhibitions since 1994. As an exhibition guide in the summer exhibitions my responsibilities included care of the exhibitions, ticket sale and customer service along with guiding in the exhibitions.
