The Beal Institute for Strategic Creativity is focused on understanding underlying behaviour in people in order to foresee future product and service opportunities.The perspective of the Institute is rooted in a heritage of Design, which depends upon the study of subtleties of human behaviour.My main research focus here examined human behaviours in relation to digital cultures, art & design, online social information, and gaming networks, in efforts to identify future opportunities for business and social innovation. Produced reports, proposals, imaginative questions and scenarios, gave regular presentations, and participated in intensive charrettes.

Artist-run centre in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, where members of the mental health community practice art for therapy: Wrote creative essays reviewing their work, to establish their ‘outsider art’ within the greater context of contemporary fine art; promoted and publicized the collective and its artistic movement.
