Ainsley is President of Guardian Security, a family-owned business that has served customers in the security industry since 1976. Headquartered in Seattle, Guardian is the leading partner for multiple product lines in the Pacific Northwest, and is a full-service provider of managed access, intrusion, video, and fire alarm systems. Ainsley has held several key roles at Guardian, including leading customer care, business development and human resources. She has been at the helm as Guardian has successfully navigated pandemic-related uncertainty, transitioned generational leadership, and has a dream of creating a culture of kindness, equity and success.

Developed/implemented innovative financing models to support renewable energy and energy-efficiency projects throughout Washington State, with special emphasis on making clean energy solutions available to low and moderate income communities. Drafted proposed legislation for the Commission, advised on key policy decisions, and assisted with the development of the Evergreen Sustainable Development Standards--Washington State's unique set of "Affordable Green Building" requirements. Launched a new mortgage product (Energy Spark) to incentivize low and moderate income home buyers to purchase energy efficient homes through a reduction in their mortgage rates.

• Coordinated city’s high-profile Youth and Families Initiative, an inclusive public outreach and engagement plan aimed at soliciting input from over 3,000 residents on how Seattle could improve educational outcomes for youth; the resulting data gathered from this program proved instrumental in the passage of a $242 million levy to support educational improvement • Led a team in planning and delivery of the Safe Communities Initiative—an ambitious community engagement plan to foster greater understanding/cooperation between the Seattle Police Department (SPD) and communities of color• Acted as the Mayor’s Office liaison to the City’s Community Power Works program, an energy efficiency program focused on helping customers reduce their power needs and invest in energy-saving improvements to their existing buildings• Served as program manager for the Seattle Nightlife Initiative, a comprehensive 8-point plan for improving safety and economic vitality in the City of Seattle—managing all branding/marketing, website design, PR, and community engagement activities • Implemented a successful city-wide, incentive-based public education and awareness campaign to fight student absenteeism; procured $300,000 in fundraising contributions and generated a 2% improvement in school attendance • Campaign manager for the successful grassroots Mayoral campaign for candidate Mike McGinn, coordinating campaign responses to all press inquiries, distributing information for fundraising calls, tracking all field operations, and managing the candidate’s daily schedule
