While we understand that civil society welcomes all three sectors of the society: state, private, and nonprofit sectors, we think that in Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries nonprofit sector is not well represented as actors who articulate voices of the voiceless. We understand that civil society is also a place for Ku Klux Klan and various extremists groups which are legitimized by serving their beneficiaries and accountable to them, however the Center believes in non-violence rather than in radical views.
