As an experienced risk assessment professional in the air transportation arena, I combine expertise and experiences as a systems engineer, online marketer, and data analyst to create a foundation for understanding and managing the risks in complex technological environments.What I do well, and have done in the past in several business environments, is analyze complex technical environments and present the results of appropriate analyses so that decision makers, from insurance companies in need of a predictive model for expected losses to airline passengers comparing accident rates, can make rational and informed choices.What motivates me is the opportunity to work in areas where there are complex interactions between people and technology where the reward for understanding those complexities is the ability to either avoid bad outcomes or embrace good ones. Those opportunities could be in areas where I have extensive experience in several areas, including engineering, aviation safety, risk assessment, and online marketing, or in other areas where a systematic approach to analyzing a complex system can lead to making that system either less complex or more predictable. One ideal situation, which reflects parts of my professional experience, would be in an established industry in a regulated environment where the analysis of available data is used to measure progress or identify problem areas. Another ideal situation, which reflects other parts of my professional experience, would be in business environments that are relatively new and that don't have ways of measuring success or failure, where systematic analyses of business processes or business data could mean the difference between the success or failure of the business unit or enterprise.
