I lead a group of four other designers and developers to deliver projects that provide value to our clients. Developed and maintained the Fastpesa API that allowed businesses to accept payments through mobile money services online.The API which started as a university project at St. Joseph University aimed to fill a gap in the services of mobile money operators at the time. Even though they were the most popular method of digital money transaction, all the major Mobile Money operators did not have API's that allowed integration with online e-commerce businesses.This project used SMS messages that the mobile money operators sent for every transaction, to create an API for use with online e-commerce websites. After two years of development and beta testing with a couple of clients, the project was shut down for financial reasons.
