About Aisha Tangirala

Third year undergraduate student at WashU majoring in Psychological & Brain Sciences with a Concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience and minoring in Human Computer Interaction and Children's Studies. I am interested in understanding the neurobiological basis for cognition and behavior; specifically, how early intervention, therapy, and assistive technology can level the playing field for children on the autism spectrum.I have worked extensively as a peer mentor and cognitive instructor for neurodiverse learners. Currently, I serve as a paid research assistant for the WashU Cognition & Development Lab where I am a primary experimenter on "Book Study," which looks at young children's attitudes and perceptions of media in the form of books.
