  Working for an outerwear and tailoring supplier to the high street with customers including M&S, Next and the Arcadia Group. My duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Working closely with both the design and sales depts. to review fabrics for new styles.• Requesting price and availability when sourcing cloths from China mills.• Ordering lengths for new designs - ensuring they are within our price range and delivered on time to meet deadlines for initial sampling.• Ensuring all fabrics ordered meet customer required standards.• Reviewing and providing updates on cloths ordered to necessary depts. (design, sales, sample co-ordinator).• Following cloth ordering process from start to finish including chasing lengths from mills.• Providing requested information to aid the final costing process.• Resourcing fabrics to be within the requirements needed, whether this be price, quality, composition etc.• Working with the design dept to create cloth packs to send to customers for upcoming developments which are within their brief.• Advising and sending colour standards to mills and then to customers for approval upon receipt.• Ordering correct quality sealing lengths once orders are confirmed to allow for the sealing process to begin.• Developing firm relationships with the China mills we have on our books.• Booking in of all fabrics - ensuring all relevant information is attached and available for reference.• Developing a fabric library.• Working individually as well as within a team. • Other admin duties.
