    Cognitive Interaction in Motion (CogIMon) is a EU funded research project in the Horizon2020 framework. The project aims to bring a step change in the human robot interaction capabilities, in particular for the compliant humanoid COMAN (www.cogimon.eu). As a post doctoral researcher , my key responsibilities were to explore the sensory and motor primitives in human throwing and catching tasks. A series of experiments were designed to examine human behavior involving unconstrained solo throwing, interactive throwing and catching in real and virtual worlds. The analysis involved representing complex high dimensional human action data into a compact low dimensional representation for action predictability and action classification. The information obtained from above was directly useful for the robotics consortium working on human robot interaction in context to human - robot rehabilitation and team work scenarios.

Dartfish was used to analyse several videos and the quantitative data obtained was analysed using Matlab/MS Excel to derive factors such as performance efficiency, punchrate etc. The analysis also revealed information on fatigue as well as the psychological state of the boxer during a bout.
