One Acre Fund provides smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa with credit, insurance, and training to help build financial and climate resilience. I work on fund development, stakeholder engagement, and impact reporting for the carbon finance and microinsurance portfolios.

Developed an inclusive finance strategy for investors and donors to allocate $16B in aid to 10 fragile countries. Structured a market intel process for 30+ development finance organizations.

Worked as a strategy consultant during graduate school. Advised CGAP and Accion on financial inclusion, climate and gender-lens investing, digital finance, and impact measurement.

Advised investors across asset classes on impact-financial integration for fund strategy, due-diligence, and performance reporting.

Led strategy and operations for 3 teams and 4 economic development projects. Designed and implemented impact evaluations and RCTs on public-private partnerships, gender pay gaps, MSEs, and financial and digital inclusion in emerging markets. Wrote analytical briefs and papers for academic journals. Conducted extensive ethnographic research on cultural markets and producers, such as folk and qawwali singers in North India, and wood toy-makers in Channapatna.

Advised the Ministry of Agriculture in Nepal on building climate resilience among smallholder farmers and leveraging rural social networks to increase technology adoption. Led a team of 40 people and managed operations for an RCT across 10 districts. Co-authored policy briefs with Mushfiq Mobarak.

Moved to Pratham (J-PAL's field research partner) for 1.5 years to continue my work on economic development, education expenditures, and dropout rates.

RA with Esther Duflo for research on economic development and policy in Kenya. Worked on data analysis for a randomized experiment on education subsidies and dropout rates.

Developed a monitoring & evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness of educational interventions that were scaled to reach over 80 million students across South Asia and Africa. Conducted extensive field research and analysis on education expenditure in rural Bihar.

Worked on a research project on the black money market and the Securities Exchange Board of India.
