Let me take you back in time to when my belief that innovation and novelty are cardinal was formed. As a child and honestly, to the this day, I have loved tinkering with LEGO blocks. To build something, take it apart and rebuild another creation that was completely new. The understanding that I draw from this today is that existing resources and tools can take revolutionary forms when imagination coupled with critical thinking transforms them for the future. What is imperative is an advancement in thought and consequently, in ideas. The understanding of business, however, is far more complex and this is the world of which I have been a part all my life. Over the years, what I have witnessed as perhaps being the most imperative part of success in the field of entrepreneurship is keeping up with the times and changing ways of working as the world moves forward. At my places of work, I was engaged in generating leads, identifying market needs, researching consumer trends and working alongside the sales team. This taught me the nuances of running a business, enhancing not only the technical skills, but also the interpersonal. To strategically and effectively plan and grow, and adapt to changing faces of reality is what I am learning and aim to take with me into a future of work that is ever-evolving.
