Bachelor thesis - Numerical simulations on film cooling of rocket nozzlesCarried out literature survey of research papers related to current models pertinent to the domain of rocket nozzle cooling. Built a numerical model based on realistic operating pressure, temperaturevalues of a convergent divergent rocket nozzle.Set up cases on ANSYS Fluent with different boundary conditions and investigated the effectsof film cooling for varying physical parameters: core flow velocity, coolant injection velocity,pressure, temperature and injector configuration. Concluded the simulation runs with optimized values of nozzle divergence angle and injection flow rate.
