I am Aitor Urbieta, a Computer Engineer who graduated from the University of Mondragon in 2005 with the distinction of receiving the award for the best academic record. In 2010, I completed my Doctorate in Computer Science at the same university, earning a Cum Laude distinction with unanimous approval.My journey in the field of research and technology began in 2007 when I joined IKERLAN's Software Technologies Department. Currently, I am proud to lead the research team focused on Cybersecure Digital Systems.Throughout my career, I have authored or co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed scientific publications, with several Q1s. My research contributions span various domains, including Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Technologies, Service-Oriented Architectures, and Software Engineering.Over the past 16 years, I have been deeply involved in the development and validation of multiple IoT platforms across diverse domains such as transportation and energy. My work has consistently emphasized the critical aspects of Cybersecurity and Safety.My current research interests encompass a wide array of topics, including Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Secure Communication Protocols, Blockchain, Vulnerability Monitoring, Threat Detection, Fog Computing, Edge Computing, IoT Environments Validation, Middleware, and more. I am dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in these areas.
