• Review the Horizon Balancing Audit Summary reports for both FM and Service Charge reconciliations and update the control spreadsheet with the relevant information from the reports.
• To raise queries with the Property Management Accountants (PMA’s) in respect of any potential under/over recovery of income identified in the year end balancing reports – this could include missing management fees.
• Action any PMA requests to re-open any 2018/19 SC and FM periods in Horizon and roll the period back to allow the PMA’s to adjust the relevant property for the current or prior year – subject to approval from the Head.
• Monitor costs being journaled to irrecoverable expenditure. Request supporting evidence from the PMA where required and raise challenges or escalate to the Head of Asset Management Finance of the Chief Finance Officer.
• Report on irrecoverable expenditure by Zones and Categories.
