Managed the Advocacy Team and program of work spanning human rights policy analysis, government relations, direct advocacy, international development policy, domestic social policy and youth participation. Elected member of the UNICEF Global Public-Private Sector Engagement Think Tank. Chair of the UNICEF Asia-Pacific Advocacy Cluster. Co-Chair of the Australian Child Rights Taskforce, including leading the 2011 Australian NGO Delegation to report to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child in Geneva. Managed the UNICEF Parliamentary Association of 70 Federal MPs and Senators, including drafting speeches for MPs to deliver in Parliament on child rights and international aid issues. UNICEF Australia lead for corporate social responsibility, business and human rights work, and advocacy lead for integrated corporate engagement. Media spokesperson (radio, tv and print) on children's rights, domestic social policy and foreign aid issues.

Country Ambassador and Representative of the UN Women Project Inspire In Australia. Country liaison for this global social enterprise project to promote women's economic empowerment. My role involved publicity and spokesperson work as an advocate, driving submissions, working with potential partners and supporting project management and implementation on the ground in Singapore.

The Salmon Youth Centre is one of the UK's largest dedicated youth facilities, working with at-risk young people in inner city London. As a member of the Management Team, I contributed to strategy, operations and business development. I managed the Corporate Partnerships and Volunteering Program with partners including Nike and Bank of America. As Youth Worker, I managed the Apprentice Gap Scheme which is a reintegration program for disengaged young people and juvenile-offenders with case work for young people aged between 15 to 24. In my role, I also managed the Volunteer Mentor Program which engaged over 100 adults in the community with our young people, as well as the Young Volunteer Program which places disengaged young people into meaningful roles within the community.

The Prince’s Trust is the UK’s leading youth charity, working with marginalised young people to re-engage with education, access training and mentorship opportunities, and to develop pathways into employment. As Program Executive for the "xl Program" (a 2 year re-engagement education program targeting disengaged young people aged 14 to 16), I had responsibility for managing and supporting the 25 participating institutions in the South and East London Regions. These included juvenile detention, youth services, alternative and out-of-home care teams and schools. In addition, my role also involved delivering training courses to regional staff and event planning and management.

The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) was the Australian Government agency responsible for managing Australia's overseas aid program (now DFAT). I supported the Principal Education Advisor within the Policy Advisory Group, and provided technical education advice and policy analysis across AusAID's country programs for education. I was one of the authors of the Education Policy "Better Education"which had its ministerial launch in August 2007. I worked as a technical focal point for education aid programs in the Philippines and Fiji, including regular in-country field work.

Based in the UNESCO field office for North Asia in Beijing, I provided technical education program support for UN programs in China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. Participated in key global meetings including the Millennium Development Goals Mid-Term Review, the UN Millennium Goals Asia Roundtable and the Asia Education and Training Roundtable. My role included speech writing for the Regional Director of UNESCO across a range of educational policy issues. My field work included missions to education programs across China and in North Korea to work with locally engaged partners on program monitoring and delivery.
