I'm an artistic and insightful person with a keen eye for detail. My recent work experience includes blog editing, non-profit operations coordinating, and personal assistance. Prior to that, I put many years into customer service and administrative work. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies in 2021. My specialized areas of interest within Psychology are Transpersonal Psychology, the Unconscious, Dreams, the Jungian concept of the 'shadow', early childhood trauma healing, interpersonal communication, and somatic therapies. I would eventually like to begin a therapeutic practice helping people to ease the effects of trauma, create and maintain healthy boundaries with themselves and others, and access aspects of the unconscious to gain insight into beneficial approaches toward personal healing. I plan to complete a certification in Somatica in the near future.Currently, I am seeking opportunities to further my writing expertise. My first memory is of picking up a pen and deciding that I wanted to write. In 2017, I received a top grant from the Cabrillo College English Department for my essay in Critical Thinking. In 2018, my poetry and art was featured in Cabrillo's Porter Gulch Review. My writing skills earned me a 4.0 for each semester at CIIS, a school which primarily dispensed grades based on subject comprehension shown through written papers and reflective posts, rather than tests. My current part-time position editing blog posts within the field of psychology has rekindled my desire to express myself as a writer. I am currently learning about SEO, researching the myriad manifestations that a career in writing can take, and am looking forward to honing my skills.
