The Assistant Supervisor at Kayak Pittsburgh, North Shore is responsible for the full operation of the Kayak Pittsburgh kayak rental concession at the North Shore location. The Assistant Supervisor works directly under the Site Supervisor on days when he/she is present, but is responsible for the whole facility when the Site Supervisor is not present. The Assistant Supervisor duties include handling of all customer transactions at the rental concession, daily opening and closing of the facility, constant monitoring of water safety conditions on the Allegheny River, management of all Kayak Pittsburgh attendant staff at that location, performance of kayak rescues in the event of capsized boats or other accidents, and the scheduling of reservations for groups at the North Shore location. The Assistant Supervisor is responsible for the safety of all staff and participants at the North Shore location as well as all daily finances of the location.

Booksellers were responsible for handling several components of store operation, including responsibilities related to cashier work and operation of the retail part of the store, as well as responsibilities related to the textbook center of the bookstore. I primarily worked in the textbook section of the bookstore, in which I was responsible for filling online store orders, assisting students in determining which textbooks they needed for their classes, assisting customers in locating textbooks and other products in the store, and processing customer textbook transactions. Other duties included receiving shipments from other Barnes and Noble stores, processing order requests and shipping orders out to other Barnes and Noble stores, and assistance in the maintenance of store stock. Booksellers were responsible for constant accuracy in all aspects of work and the maintenance of knowledgeable and friendly customer service at all times.
