Washington Dc-Baltimore Area

Conduct trainings in the Washington DC area over the past twenty years to prevent, interrupt, heal from, and end violence and abuse, with a focus on LGBTQ and BIPOC folks. Trained a diverse group of Trans and non-binary people to be empowerment self-defense trainers as part of a 2023 DC Government grant, an initiative that was formed to combat the alarming prevalence of hatred and violence affecting our communities.

Trained restaurant staff and hospitality professionals on active bystander intervention. Built communication infrastructure such as newsletters and slack channels to connect Safe Bars chapters and trainers across the U.S and Canada. Represented Safe Bars in the media, at trade events, and at conferences. Designed, produced, and distributed promotional materials.

Wrote and edited digital copy, language punch ups and marketing for a popular social media conference. Wrote descriptions for conference workshops and sales packages for a youthful, digital-minded, influencer audience.
