Prepares equipment, supplies, contrast media and medications • Adjusts and operates magnetic resonance image equipment to scan designated anatomical areas • Set-up and operate equipment to perform MRI examinations/procedures according to departmental protocols and report all equipment faults and errors to the Supervisor.• Assists in injection of contrast media • Monitors patient condition during and after scan to ensure patient safety and comfort. Retrieves information from computer and processes information in the proper format for interpretation by the Radiologist and /or archiving • Evaluates completed tests for quality and completeness. Documents all studies performed • Records all required information. Labels films in sequence. Notes all pertinent data required by Radiologists for medical diagnosis. Consults with Radiologist as needed and Reporting important information to the physician. Use evidence based practice and clinical guidelines to produce high quality images for a range of imaging procedures.• Performs routine equipment maintenance. Informs supervisor of equipment malfunction or need for repair and documents same. Performs quality control studies on equipment • Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable • Performs other related duties as assigned• Participate in staff meetings, in services and/or continuing education • Assists in training and supervision of students, interns and trainees • Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures

My major responsibilities are:Perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, such as x-ray and ultrasound. Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions. Preparing equipment for use as needed. Preparing examination rooms for patient exams. Positioning patients for imaging exams. Monitoring patients during exams. Reporting important information to the physician. Ensuring safety of patients during exams. Producing diagnostic images of soft tissues. Perform all type of x-ray such as, abdominal, chest, breast, bone and extremity. Apply infection control procedure and maintain x-ray and ultrasounds equipment’s hygiene and technical maintenance requirements. Assists in transporting all diagnostic imaging devices such as, x-ray and ultrasound to the patient premises Request periodic maintenance as planned with scheduled collaboration to avoid any equipment failure Monitoring radiation dose reports and take the necessary actions when needed. Combine all images and forward it to the radiologist on a timely manner with a written primary report. Assisting in more complex radiological examinations working with radiologists and doctors and surgeons.Supervising assistant practitioners, students and other staff, and delivering appropriate education and trainingUnderstanding and observing health and safety at work and welfare issues, including ionizing radiation regulations, to protect myself and others;Recording imaging identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately and observing protocols to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality
