On a typical day, I am working on implementing customers on our CLEC switch, HPBX service, and other VOIP systems we maintain. I deal with number ports from various carriers. I also troubleshoot issues with any of the VOIP systems we manage.

Deployed, managed, and supported All PBX systems for company. I also handled all customer and internal training on these systems. I am still involved with our PBX server but I am currently working as a Voice Tech III and PBX manager. My department got absorbed into the bigger Voice Department. Currently I am training to be the switch manager. In my Voice Tech III position I deal with our Metaswitch, porting numbers, setting up SIP Bindings, troubleshooting voice issues, etc. I have been training in all aspects of the Metaswitch. I have passed all of Metaswitch's certifications as well.

I dealt with residential customers doing help desk type support. As well as dealt with a lot of web site hosting issues.

Job varies, but deal mainly with PBX systems.
