Project System/Fixed Asset Super User
Wichita, Kansas Area
For almost a year, I worked on a team supporting the global ERP implementation of a new SAP environment. During this time, I owned the development and implementation for both project systems as well as the fixed assets module. The two phases I participated in covered implementations in Brazil, United States, and Canada. The body of work around each phase can be summarized as localization, integrated testing, training/change management, implementation, and hypercare.Localization required gathering requirements based on local GAAP and local tax laws and developing systematic end to end solutions with the assistance from application systems analysts (IT users).Integrated testing challenged super users to execute fully integrated scenarios within a copy of the new SAP environment, report incorrect functionality, and provide timely error resolution within an allotted amount of time.Training and change management required presentation as well as hands on training to all end users with roles involving my systems. It also required super users to instill comfort in the end users when using the new processes. Over the course of the two phases, I trained and supported over 100 end users in three countries.Implementation required super users to execute various ETL processes depending on their area. To quantify, 50,000 assets and 800 projects (over 10,000 project lines) were transformed from a master data perspective and migrated into the new environment.Hypercare consists of assuring end user issues are promptly addressed and escalated as necessary to the support organization when needed. During this time, I was the primary contact for any errors within project systems and the fixed asset module.
