My mechanical engineering experience starts out at the Anoka-Ramsey community college (ARCC), taking general credits required to save money and later transfer to North Dakota State University. At ARCC I developed a GPA of 3.6 and saved thousands of dollars compared to if I instead went to a private university. After completing the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum at ARCC I transferred to NDSU to start as a sophomore in the fall of 2022. I am now going into my senior year, expecting to complete my bachelors degree in December of 2025. During the summer of 2023 and 2024 I landed an internship at Crystal Welding, the #1 trailer manufacturer in Minnesota, to further my experience in the engineering field. At this internship I have gained SolidWorks certification as a design associate, honed skills in Microsoft office, innovated on trailer designs, developed product prints for the city of St. Paul and many others, ran and repaired a CNC plasma table along with a press brake, drill presses, time saver, strip-it punch, gained hands on experience with welding and fabrication, and have one on one conversations with mechanics who know real world applications to design and fabrication. Growing up I have always had the desire to become an engineer. The drive in me is to push boundaries and always find ways to invent and innovate. I grew up working on cars, lawn equipment, forged metal working, and carpentry. I have always become a go to person in every area of my previous careers, becoming a favorite among my colleagues and bosses. I and a natural born leader that will always find the positives from the negatives. Every problem can be solved with hard work, dedication, and most importantly, teamwork.
