Senior Scientist
CurrentSystems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the U.S. Army, Project Manager Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (PM DCATS), Product Manager Wideband Enterprise Satellite Systems (PdM WESS) Satellite Terminal Systems and Baseband Systems Project Offices. Responsibilities include: • Systems Engineer and Technical Lead for Enterprise Digital IF Multi-Carrier Modem (EDIM Modem), the next gen DoD SATCOM FDMA modem. • Systems Engineer and Technical Lead for Digital IF. The migration of the DoD SATCOM terminal architecture from L-Band to Digital IF addresses the key DoD SATCOM issues of growth and resilience. Digital IF will become the basis for Earth terminal infrastructure. • Technical Lead, Digital IF Test Capability, Prototype, Integration, Test and Training Laboratory (PITT), Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD). Responsible for equipping the PITT with appropriate Digital equipment and corresponding test equipment and for test planning, Digital IF demonstrations and support for the local satellite simulation range under development. • U.S. Delegation member, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) SATCOM Capabilities Team (SATCOM CaT). Facilitator and key technical contributor for Draft Standardisation Agreement (STANAG) 5646 FDMA SATCOM Modem standard. • Key contributor and collaborator on the MIL-STD-188-165B SATCOM FDMA Modem Standard Working Group. • Prior service as Systems Engineer for the Protected Anti-Scintillation Anti-Jam Wideband Net-Centric System (PAAWNS) project. • Prior service as Systems Engineer and Technical Lead for the Precision Timing Rack (PTR). • General development of performance requirements, DoD collaboration, technical oversight, test planning, Product Qualification Test (PQT) witnessing, project planning and technical review. • Systems engineering support, guidance and consulting on other projects upon request.
