I frequently see students who struggle in their Accounting and Economics homework. We collaborate together and I excel in breaking down homework problems into steps and guiding students to find the answer themselves. I have learned many interpersonal skills in my time as a tutor; sometimes students become uninterested in learning, or discouraged. It is my job to help manage their priorities to make our time in session more productive.

I have been elected for this leadership position for two consecutive years. My main responsibilites are balancing all expenses, structuring and tracking a $30,000 annual revenue stream, working with debt collection, creating a budget for the organization, collecting payment from members in the organization, as well as communicating and collaborating with alumni and voulenteers at all ranks of employment. I was directly responsible for curating a new set of bylaws for the organization, as well as raising over $2000 towards different local charities. Working with all different demographics of people has been impactful to my abilities of interpersonal communication. With this role, I was responsible for fostering a space which supported different perspectives which we navigated to find common goals to achieve.

I have overseen the successful completion of 5 leases at a house near my university. I guaged potential tenant's interests and negotiated lease aggreements in every instance. I am the line of communication from the landlord to the tenant, I am also the line of comunication for maintenance staff and teh landlord. Living on the property has made it effortless to conduct regular porperty inspections to ensure timely repairs.

During my time as a sales associate, Exotic Aquatics closed the year at their highest recorded revenue. I was trained to upsell and cross sell different products for a butique aquarium store. I handled many large aquarium sales and exceled in completing deals to increase revenue. Working for a commission was a motivating factor for me to be one of the top sales associates. I contacted and interacted with wholesale accounts for the business; I have gained a familiarity with the wholesale and business relationship. I also understand the importance of customer satisfaction, leading to customer loyalty. I had many personal customers to which I developed positive relationships, again increasing sales growth. Working this role during covid posed an interesting challenge because it made in person sales more difficult. During this time, I took photos of livestock and products to post on social media, to generate attention online in order to increase sales.
