1.Process Control:·Device, implement and monitor effective process control strategies in Alumina Plant in order to meet/do better than target production volumes, efficiencies and product quality.·Investigate root causes for deviations in process & performance and to assist operations in course correction. 2.Annual planning:·Production planning – Setting annual production and efficiency targets after ascertaining process capability.·Navigation based on sales & production capability, product mix apportioning as per market scenario etc.3.Process Development:·To identify developmental need, conceptualise the feasible solution and implement the same to remove the process bottlenecks and improve process efficiency and product quality. 4.Quality monitoring and control5.Energy Reduction:·To investigate and eliminate areas of energy waste and reduce energy consumption through improved operating practices, plant modifications and technology upgrades wherever economically viable.6.Projects:·Conceive and make capital proposal for plant expansion for step changes in volume and consider feasibility of major technological changes in this activity & propose/choose techno economically viable options.7.Training:·Identifying the skill gap and propose training for process engineers.·To provide technical assistance and guidance to subordinates.
