An important mandate of companies like USHA International Ltd (UIL) was to reach out to remote/non-electrified villages of the country, by establishing Silai Schools. Usha Silai School program was a Pan - India, community initiative to skill and empower women from rural India. Mawana Sugars Limited was actively involved in integrated and sustainable rural community development through its program, i.e., village information centre (Khabar Ghar), Urdu Classes, Village Library, Solar Charging Station, Safe Drinking Water, Health Camps and Non-Formal Education Centre in the villages. MSL had 3 sugar plants in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar districts of Western Uttar Pradesh i.e., Mawana Sugar Works, Titawi Sugar Complex and Nanglamal Sugar Complex.Major Key Result Areas-Manage and lead in the implementation of Education Interventions i.e., Community-based Information Centres (Khabar Ghars), Village Library, Urdu Classes, NFE centres in Western UP and coordinate women’s micro entrepreneurial activities through these centres.Organize health camps and overall management of safe drinking water project. Monitor health and education program for the villagers who were supplying sugar cane.Liaison with collaborative partners (Govt. Agencies and authorities, funding organization and NGOs) for taking up innovative rural development programs at the village level.Organize different training programs for animators, communities, and project staff.Maintain MIS and document case studies, newsletters, program materials, project reports related to all programs.Conduct Program Assessment Study and undertake program, strengthening measures based on the outcome of the study.Update the management about program intervention on regular intervals.Manage two Solar Charging Stations running with the support of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).Manage youth-oriented programs, i.e., debate competition, quiz competition, etc.

Samiksha Social Voluntary Organization, an NGO, was the implementing partner of National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Uttar Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (UPSACS) for the Targeted Intervention Project in Ghaziabad and Delhi NCR Region.Major Key Result Areas-Lead the project team, design, and implementation of Targeted Interventions for HIV/AIDS prevention among the specified target groups.Overall service delivery to the community as per the performance indicators. Organize monthly planning meetings and maintain minutes.Formulate weekly/monthly plans to achieve the project goal. Ensure optimal utilization of time and manpower in project implementation as per plan.Attend capacity building programs and workshops.Prepare reports and forwarding the same to NACO, UPSACS and UPPSU.To provide guidance and supervision to all field staff through one-to-one contact and one to group contact.Peer education and implementation of condom demonstration, distribution, social marketing etc.Managing media activities – video show, exhibitions, folk media and supporting BCC (Behavioural Change Communication) printed materials.Managing and organizing special events for campaigning and creating a positive environment.Manage and organize advisory committee meets, advocacy, etc. and close coordination with doctor for STI treatment.

The National Polio Surveillance Project (NPSP) of WHO-India was launched in 1997 to work closely with the Union and State governments to support polio eradication activities in India and for the development and implementation of national health policies, strategies, and plans.Major Key Result Areas-Supported SMOs in developing and implementing district plans for Polio Eradication and Routine Immunization.Designing of micro planning for Booth, H-t-H and B team activity (especially for minority, underserved, crime prone and water affected area) with District Health Department. Part of team in preparation of monthly work plan for activities to support Polio Eradication and Routine Immunization program. Actively involved in promoting and monitoring of block and community level activities in reluctant and underserved communities using a variety of approaches including mobilizing faith/religious leader, volunteers and Panchayat/Nagarpalika members and other locally influential people. Core team member for conducting training programs for volunteers, Anganwadi workers, vaccinators, and supervisors in different blocks for Polio Eradication and Routine Immunization.Involvement in planning, implementation, data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and monitoring at all stages.
