Amit has been involved with Standard Chartered Bank for more than 10 years and has handled various roles moving from Relationship Manager, Senior Banker, Managing Director and Segment Head. Currently he is responsible for growing UAE based Global Corporates Business of the Bank. Earlier he was responsible for developing strategic level relationships with select clients of the bank and also promote relationships with Overseas Indian Family Groups.Prior to that he worked with select commodity clients of the bank, across the network, based out of Singapore.In India, he worked across promoter families and led significant transactions involving complex deal structuring and board level negotiations.Key Highlights1) Successfully built and grew businesses across multiple geographic regions2) Built strategic level relationships with Sponsors and Board level executives3) Lead business growth across diverse assignments

Amit Joined the bank (ANZ Grindlays) as Management Trainee and progressed rapidly from Assistant Relationship Manager to Relationship Manager to Branch Head over next six years. He gained substantial experience working across key Indian cities like Calcutta, Delhi, Pune and Mumbai. He managed corporate portfolios comprising MNCs and Local Business houses across various industries with diverse product requirements. He also headed Pune operations of ANZ after its takeover by Standard Chartered.Key Highlights:1) Significantly expanded the corporate client franchise initiating several new relationships for the bank.2) Instrumental in expanding the Bank's wallet share in allotted relationships3) Lead some large ticket fundraisings and deal structuring for corporate clients
