Cell Therapy Limited (CTL) was co-founded by Professor Sir Martin Evans, the 2007 Nobel Laureate and Ajan Reginald, ex-Global Head of Emerging Technologies, Roche. CTL develops cellular medicines to treat life threatening and life altering diseases and is currently focused on CVS indications: Heart Failure and Myocardial infarction.

Lead R&D, clinical and IP teams of ~70 scientists across four sites. Built an industry leading R&D capability to rapidly develop best-in-class in vitro diagnostics evidenced by high quality clinical trials. Developed the systematic approach to innovation and the IP portfolio from 0 to >20 patents. Built an industry-leading clinical trial function completing >30 high quality in-house and external IVD performance studies.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, led the ~50 FTE NHS team deploying and training 90+ NHS hospitals at the peak of the pandemic to utilise rapid PCR tests for urgent patient and staff testing.Led technology transfer teams to scale up manufacturing of PCR tests from low thousands to million of tests per week, required at the height of the pandemic.
