I was the first Product Manager to join Google's Nexus team (now Pixel) where, I oversaw development and launch of the multiple Nexus products along with their accessories. I worked closely with Industrial Design, Marketing, Program Management and Partner OEM to develop the Nexus 6 phablet and the Nexus 9, a productivity focused tablet along with a pioneering bluetooth keyboard accessory and origami inspired soft cover. Besides product management, I also had to take over program management for keyboard accessory, working directly with ID team and contract manufacturer to design and spec device; forecast demand and create POs; manage engineering/test cycles; develop packaging; launch final production. I also coordinated multiple keyboard integrations across Google's suite of productivity apps to make full use of the keyboard. I did all of this with no prior hardware experience!After the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 launch, I created a more structured approach for vetting OEM partners and managed the OEM interview and selection for the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X.
