Mail IMAP service that serves ~80 million unique users on a daily basis. The service handles ~40 million concurrent tcp connections enabling our users to fetch over 1 billion emails every day.- Developed a highly scalable NIO proxy service in NETTY to route Yahoo! IMAP users between datacenters. Nearly 50 million DAUs access their mailbox through this proxy flow. - Built an API that allows scheduling of emails and cancelling queued email sends within a certain timeframe using a distributed scheduling service- Worked on implementing IMAP authentication commands (username/password, oauth) and SSL capability for the middle tier IMAP servers. This enabled retiring legacy "edge" servers responsible for ssl handshaking, authentication and routing for IMAP sessions
