My 50 years of experience in the world of evolving technology has developed in me a strong sense of how new and emerging technologies can best be deployed to make businesses more efficient and profitable.The foundation for this skill lies in my early years as a first-generation IT engineer for DCM Data Products and Network Ltd, where the goal-driven work culture gave rise to a passion for customer-centric problem solving. In the next phase, I was fortunate to get opportunities through which I built profitable PC businesses from scratch, including for Pertech Computers Limited and Fujitsu ICIM, not just in India but in global markets – before Liberalization.My vision for evolving technology consolidated in the next 2 decades as a serial entrepreneur in the space of Retail & CPG Technology, constantly engaging with customer needs and innovating customer-centric solutions for retail brands. This included pioneering early-stage innovation in 2009, when e-commerce was nascent.For the last 10+ years, as an advisor to large tech companies and mentor to early-stage retail-tech start-ups, I am surrounded by people of different ages who are immersed in continuous innovation, generating ideas to use technologies such as AI-ML for next-generation business solutions. The recent pandemic exposed fault lines in supply-chain models of consumer businesses and my long years in Retail & CPG helped me produce new-age supply chain models and solutions which drew widespread respect. Continuous participation in industry events, platforms, and publications – national as well as global – has provided the opportunity to share thought leadership in the use of technology to create new-age customer experiences for retail brands.I am now keen to work with green energy, environmental and other consumer brands using my skills and experience, especially envisioning of use of technologies like AI and Gen AI and data driven strategies.
