Spearheading entire operations for cost effective procurement of raw materials like steel sheets plates, pipes, Tubes. Spearheading Procurement of flanges, dished ends, round bars & coated sheets. Manage and inspire 3 buyers across the company. Conduct weekly meetings with marketing and operations to understand changes in demand levels and recommend changes to product mix and forecast based on collaborative knowledge of demands. Work on process documentation and standardization. Resolve procedural, operational, and other work-related problems, such as: contract compliance and negotiation issues by coordinating with different teams. Drive performance and value through suppliers by conducting on-spot negotiations, RFQs, RFPs, as appropriate. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team of buyers and contract managers on the execution of its tasks and ensure compliance with Procurement procedures and strategy. Provide input to Services on commitments made. Liaise with the Customer on all related procurement matters. Co-operate with stakeholder, project planning, cost control and other departments to ensure the specified equipment is correctly planned and delivered on schedule. Receive and Review Purchase Requisitions and Scopes of Work, verifies required approvals are in place. Manage a designated group of products and suppliers to ensure a secure and sustainable supply chain is developed and maximum value is achieved. Measures performance of vendors with respect to quality of work, cost, timelines and other related parameters. Identify cost saving opportunities and drive positive results. Streamlining the system and procedures for effective inventory control for ensuring ready availability of materials to meet the production targets. Ensuring optimum inventory levels for achieving cost savings without hampering the project process and preparing reports for the same
