Nature of work: Co ordination for contracts for solvents being procured in bulk. Delivery follow up in a structured way and delivery plans as per MRP design. E-Mailing of enquiries to approved vendors / new vendors and obtaining quotes. Negotiation of price in terms of budget and current market trend of similar products. Price leverage in terms of quantity / vendor arbitrage. Framing of bid comparison and preparing proposals as per delegation of authority. Follow up of onward approvals and converting in to purchase orders in SAP. Follow up with logistics for an on time movement and arrival of goods. Coordination with ware house in terms of offering the goods for inspection and obtaining the results for consumption. Corrective and preventive action follow up with vendors in the event of such findings by QA/QC. Payment follow up with finance and ensuring timely payment to vendor for interrupted supplies. Documentation for obtaining Annexure , forwarding to vendors and maintain the track of receipts and perpetual reconciliation. Careful monitoring of inventories for an ideal figure at all times. Up keeping of documentations for easy traceability. Vendor evaluation process maintenance and addressing the gaps for rectification by vendors. Co ordination with QA for CAPA and closing the gaps. Other SAP related activities in Material Management.
