The current project I'm working on entails the digitalization of Trading and Supply operations with the vision to develop a self-driving supply chain that not only captures data, but also predicts, recommends and supports with deal execution. Learning from internal and external digital transformations demonstrate that change management is a key success factor. The LOB's in scope have been through several structural changes in the last 5 years and continue to run as a successful growing business. We see the potential to leverage digital technology to be more cost competitive, as key cost indicators suggest significant room for improvement, and to generate new business opportunities. Though risk appetite for business growth is high in T&S, our culture in general is risk adverse for any changes to post-deal activities/processes. Handling a team that supports Triple Point Commodity SL application for one of the largest Agriclients in the United States. Work involves build, deployment, release management, SLA drivenproduction support, on call issue resolution, performance monitoring and analysis. Teammanagement, status reporting and client interactions included.

Worked as part of the CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) capability atAccenture. During this tenure worked on preparation of training guides and other assets aroundTriple Point Commodity XL and Commodity trading in general.Worked on the design and validation of different course material which were used as part of the Learning and Knowledge Management repository.Worked on the POC of a CTRM mobile application which would provide a value proposition totraders by providing different kinds of trend analysis figures on cell phones or PDA's.

Worked as a functional consultant assisting the implementation of the Commodity XL packageat a major South Asian Oil trading company.The role consisted of understanding the existing SAP application framework at the clientside, emphasizing the values proposition of a Commodity XL implementation, identifying thegaps that would need to be addressed for implementing the Commodity XL solution anddesigning the various interfaces that would enable data flow between SAP and Commodity XL.The interfaces designed were for different kinds of reference data, Trade Data, AP/AR information and also interfaces for authentication and Market Data retrieval from the variousmarket data sources such as Argus, Platts etc.Also assisted in technical design of the above mentioned interfaces and the correspondingmapping tables.

Worked on enhancements and interfacing activity for the Triple Point Commodity XL application for a major Oil trading company based in the US. Activities involved modifying the Commodity XL source code to facilitate certain requirements and enhacenments mandated by the client.Majorly worked on enhacements related to flow and mapping of Xchange trades for various excahnges such as NYMEX, ICE, GLOBEX, Trayport etc.Also worked on development of interfaces for transfer of trade related information from Commodity XL to thrid party scheduling tools for GAS and POWER. The confirmed schedules were then updated back in the system.Worked on development of real time interfaces for transfer of trade related information from a legacy system to Commodity XL. This was accomplished in the form of capturing events and transmitting SOAP messages to Commodity XL. Also established mapping rules for transfer of various reference data between the systems to esnure seamless intergation and information flow.

From September 2008 to November 2009 lead a team involved in direct support activities for British Petroleum (BP). The application was Entegrate Application Suite. The role involved scoping out the various patch releases for the client, interfacing with functional anaysts to determine and decide the priority and feasibility of the different enhancements that would go into a release.Once the release was scoped out involve in technical design with the team, preparation of various related documents and then proceed to the implementation.From December 2009 to September 2010 lead a team supporting the Sungard Aligne product Suite.Aligne is a highly configurable, flexible and modular multi-commodity software solution suite that integrates trading, risk/control, credit, fuels procurement, emissions compliance, back-office, treasury/finance and senior management information needs. It leverages an advanced integration framework to efficiently move data between functional components and facilitate integration both within the suite and between the suite and a customer’s other software systems. The result is cohesion for agile business decision making across operational and financial transactions of all kinds for energy commodities, emissions, freight, heat, weather derivatives, metals and foreign exchange markets.The role involved design and implementation of various request/response adaptares which facilitated the communication between the various systems that make up the Aligne product suite. It also involved configuring the validation and transportation rules that would be used to route the various messages that are triggered between the different systems. Also involved in XSL tranformations using established rules for message creation.Another task was definition of the mapping rules that would translate the data from the source to the target system.

The role was that of a module lead involved in custom enhancments for the different processes involved in the Commodity/Oil trading business. Involved in various golive operations for various clinets based in the US and Europe.Onshore co-ordinator at client site (Sungard Energy Houston Texas) for a period of 8 months extensivley interfacing with Business analysts from Sungard. The role involved identifying and defining scope of various new enhancements that required to be incorporated and conveying the requirements to the Offshore team. More of a techno-fuinctional role.

Custom development and production support activities for Entegrate Application Suite (Sungard Energy), supporting various external Oil and Gas trading organisations. Key technologies were Java and Oracle.Entegrate is a modular energy software system that integrates trading, risk/control, credit, back-office, treasury/finance and senior management information needs on a single platform. The end result is a single software platform that easily masters operational and financial transactions of all kinds for the power, gas, crude, emission, and weather derivatives markets.
