Joined CPWD 1969 and retired in 2005 as Executive Engineer after working at different stations: Delhi, Kolkata, Bihar, A&N Islands, Mumbai and Baghdad (Iraq).1969-79: Worked as Assistant Engineer and supervised c/o Central Govt. buildings including a typical structure at Gaya (Bihar) i.e. 32000 MT food grain godown Comprising of 8 no. silos of 4000MT each with domed roof.1979-82: Worked for Govt. of Iraq on deputation and was in charge of portion of multi-storey hostel costing approx US$100 million for Baghdad Univ. Project in 1980. The work, involved supervision, lay out with sophisticated theodolite, shop drawings, liaison with the Architects of USA, and contractors; and led a team of Iraqi Engineers and supervisors for day today supervision and progress of the project.1983-95: Worked as Executive Engineer and supervised construction and maintenance of important Central Govt. buildings at Delhi and Kolkata. It included c/o multistoried residential buildings, Effluent treatment Plant for DMS. Maintenance included very important and historical buildings like Indian Museum, Kolkata; National Library, India Govt. Mint, Marine Engineering College and large number of residential buildings.1995-97: Worked as Executive Engineer for Rashtrapati Bhavan, N.Delhi. The responsibility included complete charge of all services, high class maintenance, preventive maintenance works, upkeep of Main house, functions and various types high quality renovation work etc. It included 2500 quarters in the estate, swimming pool, Roads, Mogul Garden, treatment plan etc.over an area of 370 acres, including electrical and air conditioning services.1998-04: Worked for planning of Delhi Sachvalaya Bldg costing approx. Rs.50 Cr.and CNN center at AIIMS Delhi. Also worked for I.Tax.Deptt, Mumbai for valuation of very high value properties at Mumbai.
