The idea was to build a value based food brand that delivered “really tasty” Indian grilled food in 15 minutes, with rent-free express counters in large housing complexes. The densely populated NCR geography was the pilot region. • As a team we pivoted on our strategy twice in 14 months, we couldn’t make our idea click @ scale and ran out of options for any further capital infusion as the individual investors grew impatient. Although, we couldn't execute on our vision, we had an amazing time. The lessons will last a lifetime. • Was in-charge of production setup and supply chain, opened a 30 seats showcase food joint in Gurgaon within 60 days of the start-up. Followed by setting up a large production kitchen, that could supply 40 express counters daily. Built and led a team of 18 employees and managed hiring, training and scheduling operations.• Successfully tied up with multiple RWAs in the first month of brand roll out, as part of our plan to start 30 express counters in the 1st year. We started failing fast after the 1st quarter on our plan to expand the express counters, however were able to clock nearly INR 10 MM of annual sales from our 1st showcase food joint.• Designed and executed promotional, advertising and marketing campaigns, tie-ups with various websites, social and local media channels, inviting food editors to review the restaurant, contacting local & regional magazines to run weekly features on the brand to increase market presence, earned numerous positive reviews through multiple channels resulting in achieving the yearly sales plan in the 4th month for the showcase restaurant.
