Successfully completed a recent project, Darwin, with globally dispersed team of over 45 people on a $10 million multi-year effort creating a new development framework for MYOB’s flagship products. MYOB is a leading provider of accounting solutions in the Asia-Pacific region. It has over 25 products in SME, Retail and Accountant segments. Darwin provides the basis for replacing MYOB’s aging product line, which has 500,000 users and generates $100 million in annual revenue. Project also delivered to the goal of opening up new vertical market opportunities while improving resource redundancy.

Led the CIP Engineering Team as its lead engineer. CIP was a prototype designed to integrate space science data from international space agencies to address issues such as global warming, deforestation and ozone depletion via loosely coupled mesh network using Z39.50 protocol.

Successfully took over responsibility from the VP of development (a co-founder) for managing the Text Servers group of engineers and support staff that developed the company’s flagship text-retrieval products. This group created solution API’s for NSA, DoD, and several Fortune 500 corporations and generated 85% of the company revenues. Products used C on multiple platforms.

Migrated a network traffic system from VAX to Unix for a X.25 network of 65,000 stations in a WAN for Veterans Administrations.

Joined as a graduate in a company of 35 people and took on challenges as company grew to 140 people with multiple product lines. As manager of software development, led efforts to revamp the production and application code. Primary Development was using C on Windows.
