• GridRaster – a technology platform focused on powering compelling high quality AR/VR experiences for everyone• Key member of the development team driving end to end development activities of some of the key modules• Working on a wide range of technologies to support product development ranging from H.264 encoding and decoding, DirectX and OpenGL graphics rendering, Unity game engine and open source applications like OBS, Google Cardboard (Daydream), OpenPeer and WebRTC• Responsible for planning, developing and executing the deliverables required in a rapidly changing typical start-up scenario with high quality, finesse and quick turnaround timeKey Activities: • GridRaster Demo: Translated product demo requirement to technical specs and worked aggressively to bring up demonstrable prototype.• Customised rendering solution: Customised and integrated the client software to hook into the game engine, capture frames, encode and stream to the mobile client at a high frame rate and VR grade latency• Android client plugin: Designed and developed a plugin written in native language to enable High Quality graphics on a mobile device by collaborative rendering with a local PC/cloud.• Algorithms to improve performance: Designed and implemented algorithms to boost up the frame-rate and reduce the latency – two key requirements for any compelling AR/VR experience. This involved optimising the game engine Unity’s frame cycle, ensuring sync between server and client, frame-drop logic to clear up any buffered frames etc.• Involved in product architecture definition: Researched a lot of papers and solutions on AR/VR to help the leadership team define a comprehensive product architecture which not only solves current problem statement but also addresses the future needs of this emerging AR/VR technology.

• Key member of the R & D team at Cisco’s Video (Set-top-box) Business Unit.• Experience in Agile Development methodology.Key Projects: • Conceptualized, designed and implemented the Open Streaming project to make recordings on STB (Set-top-box) chunk based and store in a homogeneous open source format like MPEG-DASH, HLS etc• Designed and implemented the EPG Reload – An architectural innovation to simplify application updates to accommodate the new architecture, memory optimizations using various compression mechanisms, performance optimizations, broadcasting mechanisms (Carouseling), Security aspects i.e. signing, encryption etc.• Integrated QT on ARM box for a Broadcom Reference box 7252 based on ARM architecture to run QML applications on the box. Highly appreciated by the senior management.• Designed and developed the Profiler tools - Graphics Profiler, NVRAM Profiler, Stack Memory Profiler, Native Profiler, Java Time Profiler and Java Heap memory analyser. • Actively involved in development of Continuous Integration – End to end Automation infrastructure• Implemented a PoC to explore the possibility of blending IoT with STB architecture and defining use-cases for the emergence of a next generation architecture. Analysed open-source software framework IoTivity and enabled it on top of the Cisco’s STB stack to lay foundation for future work.
