Managed development and refinement of products manufactured through progressive stamping and precision forming technologies to improve product performance and quality by using DFMA techniques, FEA, prototyping, testing and verification.Provided R&D support to manufacturing engineering in the development and testing of new stamping and metal forming approaches and in the development of back-end processes such as chemical and mechanical deburr, chromate conversion coating, precision cleaning and heat treatment.Provided support in the root cause analysis of product defects and failures through raw material and product testing, SEM and EDS analysis and metallographic examination of products, summarized and presented the findings to help in the development of corrective actions.Identified and worked with outside labs and service providers to support special testing and processing requirements to evaluate new materials and processes.

Performed SEM Imaging and EDS Analysis work for companies like Mustang Vacuum, Doosan Hydro Technology, Draper Lab and for researchers from different departments of University of South Florida.Maintained tools such as e-beam evaporator, filament evaporator, vacuum training systems and semi-automatic wedge bonder.Designed, installed and tested vacuum manifold for e-beam evaporator.Trained student researchers on Hitachi S800 and Jeol JSM 840 SEM (Imaging, EDS, E-beam Lithography), e-beam evaporator, filament evaporator and wire bonder.Developed operating procedures for above mentioned tools.

Developed recipes for depositing thin films of silicon dioxide and silicon nitride using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) process.Characterized thin dielectric films deposited by PECVD and sputtering process for electrowetting applications based on film uniformity, etch rates and electrical properties of the films.Studied the dependence of actuation direction on applied voltage polarity in electrowetting systems.Studied the effect of different liquids commonly used for electrowetting experiments on dielectric films deposited by PECVD and sputtering process.
