Lead the enterprise engineering team that builds out user identity and security features for our flagship SaaS product dbt Cloud.dbt is the standard for data transformation workflow that lets teams quickly and collaboratively deploy analytics code with best practices like modularity, CI/CD, documentation and governance. Today, 30,000 companies use dbt every week and 5,000 customers use dbt Cloud including Nasdaq, BCG, Siemens, USAA, Roche, Rivian and Costco.• End-User Authentication (SSO, MFA) and Authorization with fine-grained governance for dbtCloud administrators• Access tokens and OAuth integrations with Slack/Github/Gitlab and warehouses like Snowflake, Databricks etc.• Migrated login of ~250K dbt Cloud users from an internal library to Auth0 with zero downtime• Developed a cell-based architecture improving scalability and reliability of our cloud platform

Okta is the World's Identity Company. Key areas I contributed to as Okta grew from $150MM to $1B in revenue:• Early engineer on the Identity Engine team (now part of Customer Identity Cloud) to platformize Okta's identity solutions. Rearchitected user authentication for a more modular auth platform that enabled any identity experience for our customers.• Led feature pods to drive execution on Okta's Identity Engine. Engaged with engineering directors, product managers, doc and QA and met tight deadlines.• Design public REST APIs that allow developers to embed Okta authentication in their apps.

• Build a zero-trust policy framework for adaptive risk based authentication as part of the MultiFactor Authentication (MFA) team.• Designed and developed MFA solutions using open standards like SAML and Open ID Connect (OIDC) that allow customers to use any identity provider as a second factor for login.• Architected a framework using ElasticSearch for geo-reputation (based on IP address) for Okta's sign-on policies. Now part of Okta ThreatInsights, it is used by all of Okta's customers.• Won awards at Okta Hackathons (Fall '17 & Spring '19)

• Led a team of 5 developers to build the key management and encryption of cloud instances on AWS, Azure and VMware.• Worked with stakeholders to develop business requirements of WinMagic's cloud solution.• Conducted technical interviews and mentored new developers.

• Led an Agile team of developers and revamped the architecture surrounding the management of key files for SecureDoc, WinMagic's full disk encryption solution. Gathered requirements from stakeholders and reported directly to the CEO. • As part of this project, I presented the revamped architecture with the design challenges it solved to the R&D division of the company.• Designed and implemented features for both the admin management desktop/web console.

• Co-founded and built a web portal, CollegeMart that served as a platform for students in university to buy and sell used books, furniture etc. At its peak, CollegeMart had 1200 registered users with more than a dozen trades everyday.• Learnt a lot about marketing, scaling a P2P marketplace and building an online community. • Featured on the Times of India subsidiary Bangalore Mirror
