Engineer for five non-woven production lines, three cold mold presses and two die cut operations. Provided design, project planning, and implementation for variety of large projects that had a major impact on improving operation, efficiency, and profits. Developed new composites and technologies for natural fiber automotive interior trim and office furniture panels. Proficient in the non-woven processing of natural fiber / synthetic blends including, cross lapping, needle punch, thermal boding, hot air ovens, lamination, flame retardate coating, wet and dry resin application, and molding. Key Accomplishments: - Specified, selected, and managed the installation of a 50,000 cfm dust collector. - Designed and built a custom thermo set powder epoxy application system. System design to impregnate resin 100% throughout the composite matrix. - Installed quality control plans and incoming raw material inspection. - Increased production line output rates. Implementing new material transport systems to maximizing equipment capability. Worked closely with production to reduce startup time, and eliminating waste. - Reduced overall production waste resulting in major cost savings. Installed proper waste recycling systems that maximize recycled waste quality.
