About Andrew Bare
I am a systems engineer at SpaceX supporting Dragon Avionics.Over Summer 2023, I worked as a Systems Engineering intern supporting NASA projects for Northrop Grumman in Promontory, Utah.I spent four years on Rice Eclipse, Rice's undergraduate rocketry club as a member, as Ground Systems team lead, and as Chief Engineer. At Eclipse, I oversaw a team of over 70 people to guide the technical direction of the club. I supported several large projects, including a 30k COTS rocket to fly in the Spaceport America Cup. I oversaw the completion of new rocket engine static testing infrastructure, the first ever hot fire of the Titan II 9200 lb-s hybrid rocket engine & the development and initial construction of the Proxima hybrid rocket engine. I am proud to have led several high-performing teams to start and finish incredible projects, the first of their kind at Rice.
