Temporary job as Voluntary Reservist Officer in the Spanish Army. Usually once per year, I work in the army updating the plans of different infrastructures. Besides, I participated in the MALE (around 600 people) restructuring process to the new organic schema. During this process I evaluated the capacity in terms of people of the MALE facilities, advising the command in architectural questions.

Since January 2015, as voluntary reservist officer I have taken part in several “disaster simulations” exercises. I am member of the “Infrastructures, Essential Services and Environment Cell”. As architect specialized in seismic hazard building vulnerability, in the last exercises I was attached to the Building and Urbanism Teams. In these teams, working all together, we assess the damages produced by disaster like earthquakes, bleves (boiled liquid expanding vapor explosion) floods, etc. calculating damages ratios, number of homes and people affected, logistic island, props and priority building assessment. Since January 2015 I have participated in three exercises, all of them bleves, including the most important exercise, the GAMMA EXERCISE 2015.

For six months I was in charge of a research for the internal use of the french agency Wood & Associés. The object of the research was to pinpoint ancient architecture elements along the french coast from Martigues (west Marseille) to Mento (french-italian border). I composed a big plan from ancient cartography with the ancient elements. I produced a set of six plan DIN-A1 with the position of the architectural elements and a DIN-A0 resumee-panel with the most of information. In adition, I created a catalogue with up to 650 ancient illustrations extracted from different archives and libraries. Furthemore, I collaborated on the activities of the agency assisting the architects in different projects.

For six months I took an internship in a French architecture agency in Bordeaux. During this period I acquired the necessary knowledge in order to work in architecture agencies. I learned the different stages of architectural projects and the most common day-to-day tasks. I worked on measuring spreadsheets, design lay outs of several projects, construction detailing, plotting and even an scale hand-made model in detail, which you can see on my linked-In profile. The most of the time working under the control of the supervisor but in general in a very autonomous way. I participated in the design of a panel for a competition in Paris. Furthermore, I worked in the project for a big nursery in Audenge and a rehabilitation of a residential building in Paris.

While I was studying my architect degree, I took an internship in the quality management bureau of the school. During this period we implemented in the school the Inner Guarantee Quality System. In addition, I did the review of processes, the surveys results recovery, objectives control, the development of satisfaction surveys, spreadsheets design, documents translation, etc. Furthermore, during this internship I followed a course in Strategical Planning in Universities, reserved only to employees of the university.

While the Erasmus Scholarship in Montpellier Architecture School, I took part in several international workshops. Workshop Free Form Design. I learned the process of double curvature structures design. Different teams designed several proposals of this kind of structures. The professors selected one the designs which was build in scale by us. This was a great experience with student of many universities from Italy, Spain, France and Holland. Workshop La Tourette. Two cities - one project was the subject of the workshop. We were asked to do two urbanism proposals for two small cities, Villefranche and Firminy. Each team was composed by five people. Finally, the proposal was presented to the audience.
